‘We got married in Italy in 2016, we did not want a religious ceremony but we did want something meaningful and a spiritual blessing, we immediately thought of Medbh. Prior to the wedding she helped us to express what we wanted to say to each other, and to help us focus our intentions for the ceremony, our marriage and our family. We designed a hand-fasting ritual which was without question the most significant and special part of our day. Medbh guided a beautiful and soulful ceremony that was dear to our hearts, but also that our children and guests felt part of. We are so grateful that Medbh was part of our day and we would highly recommend her.’

Year of Ordination:
Ceremonies from the Heart
Uniquely created with you to celebrate Life’s most Meaningful Moments
Hello and welcome, my name is Medbh and I am an ordained OneSpirit Minister and solemniser of legal weddings in Ireland.
I facilitate the creation of bespoke ceremonies that come from your heart and reflect your values & beliefs. I offer a range of ceremonies including weddings, funerals, baby naming, rites of passage and other ceremonies or rituals to mark life’s significant, sacred transitions.
I also offer held spaces for spiritual exploration, healing and growth. Through meditation, spiritual coaching and counselling I am trained to provide safe, compassionate, creative and dynamic spaces which inspire and support soulful living.
I am based in Dublin, Ireland and can happily travel about the country to the venue of your choosing.

What is this precious love and laughter budding in our hearts?
It is the glorious sound of two souls waking up!
I work with couples to create a unique ceremony which is genuinely reflective of your relationship together- based on your beliefs, your experiences and dreams, with content that is genuinely meaningful for you and finding how that can best be expressed through ceremony in the presence of friends and/or family. I do this by facilitating a process of discussion, reflection and exploration together over a number of meetings, the writing of a specialised wedding- and of course by being present on the day to hold the ceremony.
Baby naming ceremonies are a beautiful and powerful way to welcome a child into their family, community. It can be an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate a child’s special presence in this world, how one life touches the lives of others, and to make an offering of loving support to a child and their family – whatever form that family may take.
‘You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here’
Baby naming/ welcoming ceremonies are uniquely created in consultation with the family and may be of a spiritual or non-denominational essence, can be held in any location such as home, private venue, great outdoors, sacred site and may be adapted to include a small or large attendance.
I am delighted to celebrate with all variations of family and culture including: single/ multi/ LGBT+/ mixed ethnicity/ adoptive parents…halves, wholes, steps… all are welcome
I offer rites of passage for children and young people. These can be a lovely alternative or compliment to traditional Christian rites such as communion and confirmation ceremonies.
I facilitate meditation and exploration workshops throughout the year for parents and children.
In creating funeral ceremonies, I meet with the family of the departed to learn about their unique journey through life- the important moments and relationships, the joys and challenges, their beliefs and values, and how they touched the lives of others. I support the drawing together of a service that can authentically celebrate the life of the deceased and provide comfort and solace to those who are grieving their loss, in ways that are meaningful and sensitive to the beliefs of all involved.
I also offer services to people who wish to reflect on and plan their own end of life ceremonies. This can be a very powerful and helpful process to undertake
‘Medbh officiated over our little boy’s naming ceremony. It was wonderful to have her help with planning the ceremony – establishing exactly what we were trying to achieve and the spiritual essence of the ceremony. On the day, she brought a wonderful sense of calm and wisdom to the event, her words brought everyone together in the welcoming of our newest addition to the family, and she was also kind enough to bring Irish well water for the blessing. We would recommend Medbh to facilitate any ceremony – she’s the real deal.’
‘ For our wedding we didn’t want much fuss, or so we thought. Medbh really teased out ideas and thoughts that we hadn’t yet discussed together. She made us feel that we crafted our own vision that it wasn’t by the book or pre-designed, we even asked her to incorporate a surprise! On the day she was thoughtful and gentle at emotional moments and funny and warm at giggly moments. The balance suited us perfectly and I can’t imagine the ceremony being as personal to us without her input throughout.’
Medbh’s meditation sessions have become an integral part of my Kingfisher Writers Retreat. She holds wonderful space with an incredibly supportive spirit, offering a wide range of methods so that there is something accessible to everyone. I highly recommend her skills
