Welcome to my page. I am an ordained non-denominational One Spirit Minister. I took a vow of inclusivity to serve people of all faiths and none. I am a HSE Registered Solemniser and so can legally marry you.

Ritual is important in our lives and helps us to live life as authentically as possible. I will be privileged to create a personalised ceremony that reflects your views and values.

My experience as a life coach, my training as a counsellor and mediator, will ensure that our collaboration will create a bespoke ceremony which reflects your beliefs, hopes, traditions and culture.

It would also be my privilege to create a meaningful end- of -life ritual to mark the passing and easing the letting go, of a loved one.

Whether you are getting married, naming a new baby, celebrating the life of a passed loved one, marking a rite of passage, I am happy to write individual ceremonies in collaboration with you.
I would be honoured and delighted to talk with you about your ceremony, whatever your beliefs.

About Me

I have always believed that ritual is important in our lives and I have a deep appreciation of our Celtic traditions.  My rich experience as a life coach, teaching and adjudicating drama countrywide, my training as a counsellor and mediator, will inform how to create a ceremony or ritual unique to you.

History is my passion – I have researched and produced radio documentaries on the women prisoners of Kilmainham Gaol, ”Songs of Caged Birds”, the work of women religious in our communities,  “Beyond the Veil” and given public talks countrywide on the above as well as mental health wellbeing programmes “Life is What you Make It”, “Embracing the Future with Hope”.

Womanspirit has been an important part of my life introducing me to ritual, organising community events such as  Celebrating the Circle of Life, Brigit/Imbolc, Samhain, Bealtaine, Lughnasa, and excavating and reclaiming the suppressed stories of women, in an Irish and global context.

We wanted to have a non-religious ceremony with friends and family from disparate traditions.  Margaret Roche was the person we turned to in helping us plan and officiate on our special day.  Margaret had some wonderful suggestions around structuring our ceremony and had ideas that we weaved in, including a hand-fasting ceremony.  We could not have had a better person to officiate: she was so calm, engaged and engaging.  Every one of our guests felt that they were party to a unique event and many commented on how Margaret facilitated the co-construction of a celebration which spoke of our cultural heritage (Irish and Pakistani) which sought to find common ground (the symbolism of the hand) and reach our guest, including those who are deaf sign language users.  She brought a sense of calm, spirituality and unity amongst us all and these memories will be cherished throughout our lives.”

“I wanted to mail you to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything that you did on Saturday.  You made the baby naming so special and it’s a day we will never forget.  We had endless complements on the ceremony and everyone thought it was beautiful.“

A and N

“My family and myself are very grateful to Margaret for the care she took of us during difficult days.  She came to our home a number of times and talked through with us the form the funeral would take.  I felt very comforted by the celebration of my husband’s life.”
